Übermittlung

War­um ich die (schrift­li­che) Media­ti­on / Sprach­mitt­lung für eine kon­stru­ier­te und fürs „wirk­li­che Leben“ wenig rele­van­te Auf­ga­ben- und Prü­fungs­form hal­te, habe ich bereits an ande­rer Stel­le beschrie­ben. Voll­ends absurd wird die Sprach­MITT­LUNG m.E. aller­dings, wenn für sie ein ÜBER­set­zungs­ver­bot bzw. ein Para­phra­sie­rungs­zwang aus­ge­spro­chen wird. 

Nichts wissen macht nichts

… ist spä­tes­tens seit dem dem Erschei­nen des KMS „Unter­richt in den moder­nen Fremd­spra­chen in Bay­ern“ das Mot­to der Ober­stu­fe im baye­ri­schen Gym­na­si­um in Eng­lisch. Das ist eine gute Sache, denn bekannt­lich sol­len wir unse­re Kin­der auf eine „Wis­sens­ge­sell­schaft“ vor­be­rei­ten und das ist es nur von Vor­teil, wenn die Köp­fe der Kin­der nicht schon in der Schu­le mit zu viel unnüt­zem Wis­sen voll­ge­stopft werden. 

Kolloquialer Stoff

Wenn Schü­ler fra­gen, was denn jetzt eigent­lich genau im Kol­lo­qui­um dran­kom­men kann, bekom­men sie meis­tens die Ant­wort: „Alles, was wir gemacht haben“. Die­se Ant­wort schafft m.E. sowohl für Schü­ler als auch für Leh­rer nur Probleme. 

Murksmittlung

Nicht nur, dass die Media­ti­on (zumin­dest so, wie sie in Bay­ern gemacht wird) im „rich­ti­gen Leben“ prak­tisch kei­ner­lei Bedeu­tung hat, sie ist dar­über­hin­aus auch noch sehr schwie­rig zu bewerten. 

Questions on the Text – Technique

Wenn du die fol­gen­den Tipps für dei­ne Schü­ler ver­än­dern / anpas­sen möch­test, kannst du dir das Hand­out (doc) her­un­ter­la­den.

First rea­ding: During the first rea­ding you should try to get an over­view of the text and its (argu­mentative) struc­tu­re. If it’s a lite­ra­ry text your aim should be to under­stand the plot (Hand­lung) of the sto­ry. You should ask yours­elf ques­ti­ons like: What is it all about? How is the text struc­tu­red? What is the writer’s atti­tu­de towards his topic? What are his main arguments?
